nyceville respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how nyceville Ltd. Co. ("nyceville," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the nyceville mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide (such as a display name, bio, or profile photo).

User-Generated Content: We collect the content you create and share through the App, including questions, answers, comments, votes, group posts, and direct messages.

Photos and Media: If you upload photos or images to your profile, posts, or messages, we store those files to display them within the App.

Device and Technical Information: We automatically collect certain technical information, including your device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens. This information is used to deliver notifications and ensure the App functions correctly on your device.

Usage Information: We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features used, content viewed, and actions taken. This helps us understand how the App is used and how we can improve it.

Information You Provide Voluntarily: Any additional information you share through the App — including within community discussions, advocacy tools, or care logs — is collected and stored to provide those features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features, including community Q&A, groups, messaging, advocacy tools, and resource directories.

Send push notifications about messages, replies, community activity, and important updates.

Enforce our community guidelines and ensure user safety, including content moderation, report handling, and account management.

Improve the App based on usage patterns and user feedback.

Communicate with you about your account, support requests, or changes to our policies.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

nyceville relies on trusted third-party services to operate the App securely and reliably. These services process data only as necessary to provide their functionality:

Google Firebase: We use several Firebase services for core infrastructure:

Firebase Authentication — to securely manage user sign-up, sign-in, and account verification.

Cloud Firestore — to store and sync user data, posts, messages, and community content in real time.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — to deliver push notifications to your device.

Firebase Cloud Storage — to store photos and media files you upload.

Firebase Cloud Functions — to run server-side logic for notifications, content processing, and data management.

Apple (App Store and APNs): For iOS users, Apple processes push notification delivery through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and handles app distribution through the App Store.

Google (Play Store): For Android users, Google handles app distribution through the Google Play Store.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

To comply with legal obligations, such as a valid subpoena, court order, or legal process.

To protect safety, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our users, the public, or nyceville.

With your consent, when you explicitly agree to share information in a specific context.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Access to user data is restricted and protected by Firebase's built-in security rules and authentication systems.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Certain information may also be retained as required by law or for legitimate safety and security purposes, such as records of reported content or community guideline violations.
